In Measurement and Geometry we are looking at calculating the perimeter and area of regular shapes.
Perimeter is the length of the border around the shape. Area is the amount of squared space inside the shape.
In the real world using knowledge of this would help you when building a house or buying a house, since the house is made more expensive of how much the house covers.
